Look forward to hearing about it.

So no intake required for *any* of the listed APR stages?
Kryten - did you go for the HPFP?

I have the tune for the exhaust and HPFP, so I guess that's what Guy calls 2+ (but it's the current tune)..

Most (80%) of the gains felt like they were all in stage 1 though - as you'd expect.

            How does it feel? Fast!!!

No Intake required. More HP if you have a good one!

No extra power on top, but lots of changes throughout the file & a lot of work done on the power in the DSG shift transition area.

Put it in your car, you will love it

Have any of these been down the 1/4? Would be very interested in the times these things can pull.

I'd like to see one down the 1/4 as well - if you could get it off the line cleanly, the DSG shifts are awesome

Any at the wheel KW figures? I know they'd be massive anyway haha.

I've been meaning to get off my freckle to take mine down the quarter.. Maybe next week....

Yeah the key is off the line... DSGs (at least with my meagre skills) are pretty crap - particularly when you've got 190, 200 or more KW going through the front wheels.... creep... creep.. creep... then finally - Rev - spin - gear change - rev - spin - gearchange.....

I get wheelspin (on the road) through all 3 gears, in the dry.. And that's using pretty damn good rubber too.

The problem with the DSG (insofar as launches are concerned) is that they creep - thus triggering the timing system at the strip - then after another second or so they launch.

That's using launch contol.. Might be better to trade off the RPMs/Boost and go with a traditional launch (Ie just idle, then floor it at green).. There's no creep that way.

Using Dynolicious, the trick to saving considerable (and I mean considerable, about 0.75-1.00 seconds) time is to have your first/second gear change under control. No wheel spin and a change well before redline...

Then let second and third gears do all the work for you.

Best I had with the old tune and wheelspin everywhere was a 5.9 second 0-100 times (lousy mid 14 quarter miles). But yeah, spinning everywhere.

Expecting a fair bit better with sticky surface and better launch, as well as official timing equipment rather than an iPod!

Strange the ultimate test of these things is over the quarter though. If you want ultimate quarter times you really should go for worked big displacement engines... GTIs are supposed to be machines built to flick/corner - not drag!!

Anyway flash being done now.. Should be out in a few hours.
