Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bi-Xenons on Jetta or Golf

    Hi all,

I have a question for anyone with Bi-Xenons, firstly about your opinion if your purchase was worth it and secondly, is it possible to install BiXenons locally or does it have to be a factory add-on?

Not sure they are worth it.

    Hi DRB999,

I have a Jetta TDI with standard lighting and find that they are just fine, and for the money I wouldn't bother with the Bi Xennons, they may last longer but I find as a fellow motorist Xennons & diacroics on cars are very distracting due to colour changes at the perifory of the beam, and at the end of the day offer only a colour temperature change but no extra length of throw.

I am a professional stage lighting desginer and know this area well, so my advice is save your money and put it towards the leather option.

    cheers
