  • Why not DSG?

For those who have a manual mkV, why didn't you buy a DSG?
For those who have a DSG, do you miss swapping cogs yourself?

Jury is still out whether I should buy a DSG or not. I am a long time fan of do it yourself heel/toe. I like the feeling of slamming through the gears. Easy choice then? Well no. The missus prefers auto, even though she can drive manual. She is afraid of hills.

Current car has a "semi-automatic" option. It still sux driving in this mode over auto, so I am thinking DSG, whilst a marked improvement, will also annoy me in the long run.

This has been covered many times before, and having just typed in DSG into the search query covering all thread titles will pretty much answer any question you should have in regards to it
