  • Golf V R32 Detail Review: (PIC Heavy)

I've had my R32 since new for 18 months and it has never had a professional detail. Paint work was in pretty good condition as you'd expect from an 18 month old car, with some minor swirls/scuffs.

I've only hand washed the car myself probably 3 times (plus another 3 times by the VW dealer), the rest of the time it's washed at the 'touchless' car wash (basically blast your car with water/soap etc)

I had Dan from DMS Detailing http://www.dmsdetailing.com.au/ perform a Stage 1 detail.

Here are some of the before shots, the biggest swirl/scuff was near the drivers side door handle.

    BEFORE Detailing:

Here are the after shots, it hasn't been all that sunny since the detail so most of the shots are mainly indoors. (Thanks also to the dust storm which arrived in Sydney today!!!!)

    AFTER Detailing:

Overall very happy with the work by Dan. When I originally contacted Dan, he was pretty much fully booked, but after an email and another call, he managed to squeeze me in very quickly.

    Cheers

            Cost was $200.

Dan arrived just before 8:00 and was done by 11:45.

And yes it definitely looks better then when I first took delivery from VW.

The sealant is certainly doing the job, the dust from the recent dust storm washed off very easily and the R32 is looking squeaky clean again.

            Cheers

              that makes more sense...

i spent 5 hours detailing my car!

              hand applied, of course.

              will try this soon...
