R32 faulty rim ... warranty claim

    Doesn't look good..

    If there is no visable damage to the tyre then surely it's faulty? But agree they'll assume you ran over a big pothole or something..

      Don't know whether that is VW's fault (probably not) but I'd be asking them if it is safe to drive on. (The possible liability might scare them?)

          Uff! 60K and 2007, it will be very hard to claim the warranty from the dealer, i have a friend with the same problem and they just said "You hit a kerb", and my friend's car only has 17K 2008,

          The crack doesn't look to bad you should be able to fix it no problem,

            Try your best to get the claim, but imo that crack is probably due to a pothole, or a series of bumps at some stage over the 70 thousand clicks rather than manufacturer fault. It happens so you might have to take this one on the chin, hope you get it sorted hassle free.
