  • Dealer recommendations in Perth

Looking for dealers who can provide good sales service in my hunt for either a recent R32 or GTI.

I'd suggest you keep you're eastern states options open, as Perth's market is fairly limited and premium-priced accordingly.

I see you're based in Brissy, are you planning a relocation?

John Hughes in Victoria Park is a VW dealer, you could take a peek there

Welcome to the land of the endless rain!
I've bought from Osborne Park and was happy with the service but not necessarily the pricing.
I walked away from John Hughes.
I've heard good things about Wangara being that they're the new guys on the block and more prepared to deal.

edited the last bit, I didn't read your post properly!

I am looking to buy (or trade depending on how I get on selling my car). Will ring Osborne Park to see what they have.

everyone should be willing to deal, just play them off against each-other, until you have one left.

I bought a new car a few years ago, only one in Perth - dealer absolutely wasnt willing to budge off the price 1 cent, that is, until I showed him a quote I'd got from adelaide for $4k less - he dropped his price on the spot!!

I agree with Gareth_OAU, keep you eastern states options open.

I have dealt with Vic Park VW & Osb Park VW but not Wangara. If I had to choose between the two it would be Vic Pk.

                  Good Luck

Ehm I'm already in Perth. By Vic Pk do you mean John Hughes?

I have had amazing after sales service from OP... but when I offered cash for a car for a small discount they were not interested... but to be fair i think its just supply and demand.

I wouldn't sell at discount if I could wait a month and sell for full RRP.

With the federal rebate for abn owners running out I would expect sales to dry up slightly. This may be good news for people like me.

                              I feel ya,

They have had it too easy at VW dealerships lately.

My timing for needing a car was poor as mk6 had not come out yet.

This golf will be my last petrol powered car though... I'm going to drive it until I can buy an all electric car that does less than 8 seconds to 100.
