what is the wheel fitment and offset for mk5 golf?
5x112 PCD
Centre bore 57.1
OEM wheels tend to have an offset of 50+
Take a wheel off and read the back to see exactly what you've got.
I'm working with GT/GTI spec wheels here.
I've had 18x8.5 ET45 on there and they sat flush with the guards.
I'm lowered, so had to do the fender screw mod to make it all fit - 2 mins per side, and nothing visible, but no more rubbing.
19x8 will fit, but i'm not sure of the offset you'd need.
IMO if you go for anything bigger than 17, you need to lower it to keep the aesthetics intact. Not necessarily drop it on its guts, but there's something awkward about a car running on very low profile tyres with more wheel-arch gap than rubber showing up top.
is it that difficult to google or click a search button?
Mate if you don't want to answer, don't answer.
He asks the question, it's his (and everybody’s) right to do so, that's why people come to this forum, including you, and me as well.
