Hi Bazzle, they look really smart. A few questions for you though. Firstly, are they much brighter than the original taillights when illuminated? Secondly, presumably, they don't trigger bulb out failure? And where can one source them and roughly how much are they? Cheers.
Hmmm not too my taste, never really dug the "altezza" style lights but i must say it complements the colour of your car.
Lol, they're not altezza style at all ! Altezza are clear tail lights, like you see on the millions of lancers and civics (and IS200's ) roaming the streets. These are not clear, just LED in the middle.
Like I said before, Jetta style (Jetta lights pictures below). Red on the outside, LED in the middle.......not Altezza.
Altezza do a similar light, looks much more crappy though:
Altezza is a type of car - Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS200 (with the 'clear' tail lights. They got called Altezza lights because of what car they were on. Same as calling a vacuum cleaner a Hoover.

Fair enough, I didn't know that, but those ones pictured are listed as "Golf 5 Red Altezza Tail Lights".

sorry my apologies the certainly do look similar though, although no where near as bad as the lights seen on those ricer cars parading around.
I'm not a fan of the OEM LED's myself. I like the dark red surrounds, but the centres are to large, white and bling for my taste. I've been waiting for them to grow on me and they haven't.
