DSG Recall in US... will it affect Oz???

Just came across this article during my daily auto read.

Anyone have any idea if Australian models will be affected or have heard anything from their VW dealer?

The problem affects cars built after September 2008 so no Golfs, GTI's, Pirelli's or R32's should be affected as that was around the time they shut down manufacturing. Sales of the other car affected would be tiny so they'll probably contact the owners directly.

I picked up one of the last R32's in Australia so was a bit concerned.

I thought my pirelli was made Nov/Dec 2008?
