Interesting colour. Im sure it will turn a lot of heads. I spent money trying to make my older car less purple!

Those wheels look awesome though. Thats a really nice colour.

Ill have to keep an eye out for your purple people eater. I dont live far from South Oakleigh

Ooohhh! That purple would look just fine on Madam Jetta. Maybe a touch darker.

It's long been my biggest complaint about VW - they have the most boring line up of colours

Why can't people on this forum acknowledge that they are expressing their personal opinion on matters like this, rather than pretending they hold a monoply and are the only ones entitled to arbitrate on what is good and bad taste - even a simple prefix of IMO would go a long way

And I don't care if 95% of people who see it hate it, they are still only expressing their personal opinion - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

PS Welcome aboard Jarek, don't mind the nay-sayers, even they are allowed to hold an opinion.

looks hot! wheels are freaking sweet! nice work. you painting the calipers a different colour? i reckon a kermit green would look sweet against the purple.

Hey guys thanks for your opinions, i know that not everyone will like it, but this is what i've always wanted to do, the color will be dramatically different outside in the sunlight as to inside in the booth. It will color change from blue to purple to red and anything inbetween. I've also got a oettinger rear skirt going on it and a quad arqray exhaust, so i'll post more pics of when its all done. Thanks again for everyones input.

love that colour. I custom mixed a colour very similar once for a model car i built. I like it indeed, esp teh ghosted two tone very cool. I like the stripes, not sure about the VW symbol yet.

can't wait to see it all back together!

Nice job, Jarek & welcome to the forum.

As greg alluded, opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one, and some are more smelly than others

One of my peeves about the Golf is the narrow range of colours available in Australia. One look on the VW Germany site will convince you how crap our colour range is! 36 colours available there, even 2 in purple!

Wow that's one sexy colour.. Can't wait to see pics of it on the road! And the wheels look great also. Good job with the respray!

I've gotta agree with Maverick on the tail lights though. They look too ricer for the classy car and colour you've gone for

                        props for doing something different!

love the colour of the wheels and the very subtle two tone effect!

I never saw the two tone bonnet or VW sybol on the rear quarter until people started mentioning and even then I was like wtf are these people on, I CANT SEE IT! but now . . .

lol, nice work man, I like the colour on the body and wheels, as for the lights, I don't think i've seen a mk5 with'em yet so i'll reserve my opinion till you get it all back together Don't Hella make them? I don't really know my mk5 stuffs . . .

Interesting colour, should turn a few heads and can imagine what it would look like in the sun. I wouldn't do it myself however but takes a bit of guts to be original.

Are you colour coding the red GTI stripe, i agree it may not gel.

I think the OEM LED's would be a lot better and less cheezy as well..
