Had my first service the other day at Essendon VW.

On the invoice was listed an item: Interrogated 5051 fault memories and printed report.

What is this report?

Also had DSG reset as it was "bunny hopping" when changing from 3rd to 2nd. Only a minor annoyance, but it was fixed. But for how long?

They scanned ECU and other control units for error codes and gave you report.

Thanks, but that's the thing, I didn't get any sort of report other than a list of items checked. It's not a computer printout. Was I meant to get one?

Your invoice should show "no codes found" or similar wording. That is the report.

Just had my 12 month service yesterday, and that's what is on my invoice.

I wouldn't stress over it too much. A lot of it is jibberish anyway, and definately no pictures or graphs.

All the technician would have done was used the VAS5051B, gone into 'Guided Fault Finding', ran a fault code check, and printed off the results. All it will show is what control modules were checked, and display whatever fault codes were there.

If there was anything worth mentioning to you, it would be on your invoice.
