  • Calling Pirelli Owners

    Hi Guys,

I am in the final stages of securing a 5 door graphite blue Pirelli (09 compliance) with rear parking sensors.

I am about to settle on $46000 with free servicing (for 3 years or 45000km, ie 3 services). I am in Sydney and the dealer has the car, so no extra charges applicable

They will not budge on the $46k figure, saying they are only making $250 profit, and showed some BS spreadsheet to prove it. I had said that I know people (namely you guys) who have paid less elsewhere, and ask me to prove it as it would be below cost.

I have read here and on mk5golf, people paying around $45k for a 5 door. I would greatly appreciate if any owners who have paid less that $46k for a 5 door or $44500 for a 3 door (with sensors) could email me a copy of their purchase order or invoice. You can obviously black out your personal details. PM me for my email address

    Cheers

    CC

It's not inconcievable if the car has been in stock for a while. The dealer has to pay to keep cars in stock and seeing as the price is around the price of the cheapest Pirelli deals I doubt that the dealer will move much further.

Its not far off the mark. It is a buyers market though, now that the madness of 1 july has died down, if he is not going any lower see what else you can get thrown in, window tint is usualy a handy one for them that is cheap to do.

1 do like the 3 years free servicing, thats worth about $1200 odd.

$46K sounds pretty good to me with the 3 years of free servicing. Remember that the free onroad month is gone (June), so I think $46K is a pretty good deal. I doubt whether you can do much better. I'd grab it before your choice of colour and options become unavailable.... But then again, if you're a chance man, wait closer to the date of the launch of MkVI GTI and when they get really desperate to sell off their MkVs, perhaps you might get a better price.

              Grab it.
The Pirelli is a much better looking car than the MKVI GTI IMO.
Plus every man and his dog will have a MKVI GTI in two years time (when they are able to meet initial demand) while a Pirelli will still be relatively unique.

It includes things like oil, filters etc and the brake fluid change at 2 years. Wear items you have to pay for yourself.
