Hi guys, I've ended up getting a R32 Golf instead of my initial plan which is the GTI MKVI.
I should pick up the car by Thursday. here is the photo At the dealer:
Nice. So shiny and silver.
Some advice. Get them to take off the awful front number plate holder and not to attach the plates. That way you can attach the plates without drilling holes and keep it with that nice clean look.
Cheers,
Trent

What do you use to attach the plate?
I am picking my R32 up next week, funnily enough it is the same colour as windyzz.
Did you get a good deal?
I've been watching a lot of r32 vids on youtube and I just love the sound.
I love my 2.0L TDI but if I had the money I'd have the r32 for sure.
Well, there's no model in the MkVI range at the moment to compare the R32 to. Would be interesting to see what the forum members think when they eventually take delivery of the GTI later on this year and make some sort of comparison.
AFAIK, the MkVI has the same chassis as the MkV anyway, but with more clever tweaks and optioned adjustable suspension.

Exactly...the R32 will become a future collectible. The MkVI GTIs will be like MkV GTIs - "dime a dozen". Plus you have to wait to get one and pay a premium for the privilege as well.
^ yeh.... i was completely surprised at the sound of the car... I knew that the r32 has always sound good... but didnt expect it to be that "erotic" even at 2500 - 3000 rpm

Sounds even better when you pull the vaccum hose out of the exhaust system.
