Have just ordered new wheels from the states for my MKV GTI
Specs are; TSW Asan 5, gun metal grey w/shaved face with red stripe. 18"x8" Et +45 Wt around 19lbs. And before you ask you cant get them in oz. The wheels here are mostly crap anyway. Price delivered from the states is AU$1820.00. Around the same price for a good set of wheels here.

^nice wheels! i wouldn't mind them on my CW TSI... I'll have to see if they come with a white lip instead of the red.

Wow! these should look great. Just had a look at the TSW Link you gave and the Asan's are definately the best looking rims. How long does shipping take? Would love to see pics when they are on your GTI.
Also any idea how much a set of 18" tyres will cost (obviously there's a range of prices) but curious how much more they are than 17" tyres.

Shipping will take up to two weeks. Mine are being shipped by UPS so they give you a tracking number which you can track on there website...cool...Tires will cost as much as you want to pay... say $800 -1000 would be the range. I have included an answer to private question sent to me about the wheels..

Hi mate. yes the wheels are from wheel tech.
If interested use my name as referrer. The contact name is Ray. Email; ray@wheeltech.com. I tried to get them from other suppliers but they either were not interested or the shipping was to high. By the way don't use US post as they are unreliable and tracking your goods is hopeless. Ray uses UPS and will supply a tracking number for you. I am currently tracking mine using the UPS website. The best way to pay is via PAYPAL. Ray will send you an email with the Paypal invoice once you have decided on what you want. You cant pay directly though the website as they don't have shipping costs to Oz and don't except o/seas credit cards hence PAYPAL is best and safer. Very simple really. He gave me a discount off the listed price without me asking. If you want to workout the US/AU conversion the link is attached.

P.S. Ray will also under value the goods on the shipping invoice so that you don't get hit with import duty which starts at AU$1000.00 for the goods imported. Shipping and other fees are not in the calculation used by AU customs.

Shipping update

Wheels left supplier on 23/6 currently have been cleared by customs in Sydney and are on the way to me on Gold Coast 26/6. Whats that 3 days. will probably get on Monday as the weekend will slow things down at this end...Not bad...Can't complain about the service so far.

You are best to type in XXR Wheels into your search engine. Wheeltech does not sell them. They are not available in Oz. Not a big enough market. Prices are to high anyway. Take note wheel suppliers, get your act together.

UPS rocks... ive imported all my AV gear through them and they have been very good. Only problem was when my projector got hit being over $1k and had to pay duties on delivery... not their fault

Wheels Are Here .... Yahooooo....xmas In June

Wheels arrived from US today. Only five days from dispatch in the US very impressive i must say. New rubber and fitment tomorrow. Will post picks after that. Some picks of the wheels on at my place will have to do for now.
