  • Spark Plugs @ 60K

OK so I just had my 60K service done and all bodes well so far except I checked in my handbook and no spark plug change...???

i thought it was a 60K item based on what I had read / heard from others but seems not

    1. Anyone else had the 60k done and were the plugs changed
    2. if not at 60K then when !

oh and they vac'd the front footwell area which was a nice touch !

Just had my 60K major service done today also, and yeah they definitely changed the plugs. They didn't wash the car though, apparently the 'car wash technician' is on leave, lol. They did charge $200 less than they quoted though, so all up I'm pretty happy.

Mine was done at Essendon VW.

Having mine done later this week, the plugs were listed on the quote. Just wondering, what did they charge you for the service?
        Cheers

That is a bit expensive even for the platinum plug.

NO - parts only. There may be an alternative, I've found a listing in the NGK spark plug catalog, about $15 each from Burson's and that's 'trade' price.

Platinum or Iridium they cost me the same, so it should cost the same to customer.

Had mine done yesterday, plugs were changed. From memory about $25.00 each.

                          Cheers

I hope a the car drives itself after getting charged that much for spark plugs. That is an absolute joke. Yet another reason not to get dealer servicing....(Waits for Mavs retort to justify the huge cost).

Dealers screw them in better mate, like the magic way they pour the oil. You have to pay for magic like that.
