Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You really think it would? Then the GTD would have to be a bull lot better than that considering the GT and GTI have the same wheels brakes and suspension.

Yeah I've driven the mkvi with the sports pack. It would be very close but I think the vi would win.

I thought the current gt and gti had different suspension?

I thought so, and was under the impression the 2.0T cars had bigger brakes than the oiler/twincharger too.

Nope, same brakes at the GTi - 312mm I think. but the suspension is a little. the GT's is different, it sits at about halfway between the standard Golf and the Gti. As for exact specs or whats different I dont know but I know that the Gti sits a few mm's lower than the GT.
