  • Weird MFD Issue

Driving across Story bridge, the MFD suddenly went blank, with orange vertical line off to right, then came up again as normal after about 2 seconds.

Is this a known issue? Other than this, the car has been faultless! Loving the GTI.

Do a few searches as a thread appeared a few weeks ago with the same problem.

    Just found it.

Interference from the beams on the Story Bridge are likely to cause MFD glitches. Also causes the wheels to lock up.

      LOL if you believe me...

Not really helpful. Certainly the ride's lumpy over story bridge with all the joins, was a bit worried there's a loose wire.

Guess the consensus is "no idea" as that was all there was in the other thread.

Not much i can do then unless it recurs / prods a fault code.

Honestly i've read about this problem on a few forums now, including many times on this one. Best to take it to the dealer (or phone them) and see if you can work something out. But it's definiately not only your car that has this issue...
