  • Jetta TFSI service intervals?

    Hi All,

I bought my Jetta TFSI in December last year so its about 6 months old. I have done 6400kms. I noticed that my service reminder sticker says the first service is due at 7500kms. I just received a SMS from the dealership saying my first service was due.

Is this normal? I thought service intervals were at 15000kms.

1 year or 15,000kms which ever is 1st is contractually required to keep your warranty valid...

A lot of dealers prefer to do a 'quick lube' between as the TFSI can't last 15,000kms without any oil top-ups. Getting a quick lube change is a wise idea actually - its up to you.... but is not required for warranty purposes. Just make sure you top up your engine oil because the TFSI drinks it pretty quickly.
