    Hi guys,
I've searched the forums and google, and need some help with the following problem.

    3 door GTi

All 3 doors lock when ~15km/phr.

However, when i come to a standstill (key still in ignition & engine running, gear in park), and either myself, or passenger goes to open the hatch/tailgate/trunk, its locked.
Pressing the driver door unlock button several times doesnt unlock the hatch either. I've needed to turn the ignition off, and remove the key in order for the hatch to unlock. Terribly annoying.

I've looked at the MFD & the user manual but nothing that address' my problem.

Im sure that in my 2.0 FSI golf this wasn't an issue.

    Anyone shed some light ?

    Much appreciated.

Mine is a 5 door GTI which also locks above 15kmph. She definitely does not do what yours does and allows me to open the hatch when idling with the engine or ignition switch on simply by flipping the door switch.

Mine is an 08 and can open the hatch when you press the unlock button twice. One thing it doesn't like is opening the hatch when the lever is in reverse

Our old Voyager didn't let us open the electric tail gate when in reverse.. I think it's so no fumes come in?
