Hi does anyone have Jaz's email that they can pm to me or post here. I would like to get the extended warranty but it'd be easier I think to communicate via email.
Please have the courtesy of calling. Call me old fashioned but I have to say if you have the most basic grasp of English, you get further talking to someone on the phone rather than 10 emails. As a person in sales, an email enquiry is really treated as a low likelihood of conversion to a sale.

Phone, it is the polite thing to do.
Haha.. she's already got my sale. 100% conversion. Just thought with all the details (eg. vin etc) required it'll be easier to do it through email.
Dean I want to buy it now because i think the cost of the extended warranty is going to go up in the next few years. The DSG is relatively new so if the original batch from few years back starts failing then they'll start charging more. I think the price available now is very reasonable.
This is a great deal. Thanks to Jeloz and VWWatercooled for organising this. I recommend this to anyone who wants extended warranty. Took all of 5mins to organise. Paperwork should get to me tomorrow via express post.
Ok everyone. I would like to formally place here the offer that has been negotiated on behalf of the forum members by jeloz. It is a very significant discount from the RRP for those that are interested in obtaining the cheaper rate warranty that is a proper 3 year VW extension underwritten by Allianz (as discussed).
This is a VWWatercooled exclusive offer.
Full Manufacturers Warranty - Additional 36 Months after original 36 months...
Make sure you read the documents etc as there are some KM exclusions (PM me with your email address if you want me to mail you the extra cover PDF) ***Does not include Roadside Cover***
You will need to contact Southern Classic Cars - (02) 4254 2000 - asking for Jaz Hokin.

Please be as respectful to Jaz as possible as this is a fantastic offer that has been generously made to our users. Prices are subject to change and this offer can be revoked at any time without advice from VWW or Southern Classic.
Happy extending!
Quoted so it doesn't get lost in the pages.. i will be calling Jaz in the next couple of weeks - that's $100 less then my mate of a mate could get me, so very good deal people
WOW! That's fantastic!
I still have two years warranty left. Could I buy this now to extend my warranty to 5 years? Or do I have to wait until my warranty is almost run out?
The deal's still on for anyone interested. Just bought one for my Jetta from Jaz this morning... $1269....great price!
I did this at the end of last week, too.
Jaz was a breeze; she did everything quickly and efficiently and I had the policy at my place the next day.
The best thing is that the TDI's covered until Nov. 2012!
Bizi's Jetta TDI: Blue Graphite w. factory leather & tint, plus + Enkei Racing NT03+M + Yokohama S Drive 18s, Koni FSD, Neuspeed coils, GTI RSB + brakes, InPro mirrors, VW navi, Modshack. Come for a drive through the twisties on Saturdaze.

Is the extended VW (Allianz) warranty only available if you purchase the car from a VW dealer? I'm tossing up between two used cars, a 2007 Passat and a 2008 demo Octavia. Money seems to be about the same (but I haven't really tried to negotiate on the Passat). Anyway, the Passat is being sold by a Mazda/Mitsubishi dealer while the Octavia is at my local Skoda dealer. But based upon my reading of the warranty PDS, it seems like the warranty is only available if you purchase the car from an authorised dealer. So I would be able to buy the extended warranty on the Octavia but I wonder about the Passat. Thanks.
