1. I think you can purchase at any time before the 3 years warranty is up, but the question is, how much earlier would you want to purchase it? Say you write off the car or it gets stolen, I doubt you can ask for a refund (I may be wrong so worth a question).
2. I don't think it matters where you live, but if you read the PDF that should clear it up!

Looks like you can cancel the policy at anytime, and they will refund you the unused portion, less an admin fee. Also, reading the policy, it should apply Australia wide and there is no indication it needs to be sold by a dealer in your state.

I might give Jaz a call to see what a Polo GTI costs!

My New Car warranty apparently expires on the 23rd of June/09.

Would it be sensible to purchase the extended warranty now, or wait a few days before the 23rd. I had been quoted the same price listed in this thread on mention of my vwwatercooled, referrel.

It makes no difference, I'd say do it whenever you have the cash up until a week before it would expire in my mind.

Thanks for the comment guys, i just went ahead and purchased the extended warranty package, now runs until 23/06/12, for my golf r32.

Why do you want to buy it already? There is no benefit in buying it until your warranty is about to expire..
