Fuel injector for my GT blew up on Monday, and will have to wait til Monday to get it fixed. Got a Toyota Avalon fora loaner car, piece of junk. Anyway, i think extended warranty is a good value.

btw I have been dealing with Rashid from Chatswood Classic Cars. Jamil was the one who suggested I contact Rashid.

Hi everyone,

I've read the thread from the very beginning and here's an update as of 28th Jan, 12.30pm WA Time.

Jamil is currently running between 3 sites- Narellen, Chatswood and somewhere else. I did not speak with him but the front desk spoke to him while I waited and he said that he no longer handles extended warranties but Rashid is able to help. I do not have Rashid's number but calling Chatswood ( 02 94115888 ) will get you to him.

I also called Jaz and found out that she is no longer handling extended warranties too, but she has passed it onto Kim. Kim can be contacted on 02 42542000.

Both Kim and Rashid were busy today and I was not able to get quotes from them so I do not know the most updated pricing.
However, my dealer (Albany WA VW) has given me the following quotes:

24/Time $1376.92
36/Time $1607.70
24/50000 $1761.54 (when the odometer reading of the car reaches the original warranty expiry + 50000)
36/75000 $1992.31 (when the odometer reading of the car reaches the original warranty expiry + 75000)
48/100000 $2761.54 (when the odometer reading of the car reaches the original warranty expiry + 100000)

I didn't know that there were different options but I have not clarified with her whether she has also given dealer warranties or whether this is purely VW extended warranty.

This is because some guys will call CCC directly and ask for Jamil and when the staff at CCC say that he doesn't work there, the guys will post to complain about it.

It is Rashid that you probably dealt with at CCC.

I have tried a local dealer (Essendon Volkswagen) quote for $2500...Ripp off..I told him someone could get it around $1800 mark R32, why GTI will be more expensive than R32, answer is R32 is less than GTI on the road....WTF

Triode12, Jamil told the front desk he's not doing it anymore and to go to Rashid instead, so I'm just gonna stick with Rashid rather than annoy Jamil by calling him at Narellen (he's there today). Thanks for getting the discount for us though, much appreciated!!! Hopefully Rashid sticks to it

Does it worth to get VW used vehicle extended warranty? Any member here bought it and whats your opinion?mine is 2005 fsi and when bought it was 2009 with 32k km on it. Thinking to keep it for 2-3 years. Should I get the warranty?

I have bought the 3 year extended new car warranty, which kicked in last December. If my vehicle now gets written off, can I get a pro-rata refund, or at least 2 years of it refunded?
