VW/Audi suspension compatibility

I need the strut tops off a petrol model mk5, but i can't find anything online or at wreckers, so was wondering if any Audi's use the same shocks as a petrol mk5? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Same - Same.

Question - these things are pretty cheap new - it would be probably cheaper to buy them now - I know the labour cost of dismantling a car & most wreckers would not disassemble a strut unless they had a bent one there...
