Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Little snowflake symbol

I know I should read the manual for this but I'm at work.

A little snowflake symbol came up on the MFD this morning. It was next to the temp gauge which read 1.5 degrees.

Anyone know if this symbol is just telling me its bloody cold outside or is it a warning for something.

    Cheers

I'm sure the ACT guys would have seen this before and I doubt the QLD'ers have ever seen below 10 degrees... but what's the theory around the "DING" at 4 degrees?

BTW this is in that black book in the glovebox that I like to call the "owners manual".

The ding is to remind me to turn on the seat heaters

3 months ago my MFD was telling me it was a lazy 50 degrees hotter than this morning. Crazy!
