  • New Screens For Avc9000 Witson Etc

Hi all, Just wanted to post that i've finally found a tool to edit those crappy looking menu's on some of the chinese head units out there . Thought i'd post it here as i've had so much help reading these forums. Its called 'sunplusedit' and can be found at http://powerdns.homeip.net/. you'll...

Download the file that this guy lists in the thread.
    http://rapidshare.com/files/219728622/zdt.bin.html

    1. Put it onto a USB stick of 2gb or less formatted in FAT32.
    2. Insert it into the usb connection of your car with car off.
    3. Turn car on... you may have to select USB in the menu.
    4. It will load and update your car.

WORKED ON MY AVC9000! Windows 5.0

Says SEAT on it but its bloody good looking and better than the blue screens!

    Quoted from thread:

Its called 'sunplusedit' and can be found at http://powerdns.homeip.net/. you'll need a firmware update file for your unit to use it.

Please note the site has nothing to do with me before you think i'm profiteering! lol . you can download it for free (but save option is disabled unless you 'donate' 3 euro's) .

Anyway here's some menu's i've done on my D720v for my Altea.

DISCLAIMER: if in any doubts then just dont try it , flashing firmware to anything is allways risky!

Just made screens for my car and installed it.

If anyone is handy with photochop I can send you the original files and you can make better versions, I can then encode them into a binary file that will update your AVC or witson in return.

That is very cool that it is so easy to customise. How long have you had this unit and are you seeing any deterioration of the quality over time?

I have had the AVC9000 for about 8 months I think... really good unit.

Happy with it for the price.

Not as good as an aftermarket Alpine/Pioneer deck by any stretch but its WAY cheaper for an integrated solution. Probably 1/3 price!
