Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I dont think it would make much difference. The high quotes were due to the panel beaters needing to sand and fill the texture before they could prime and paint.

I think we get rorted in Perth cause all quotes have been over $600 just to do the skirts! If I could get them done for $300, I would do it in a heart beat.

i still cant work out why the front and back is colour coded and not the sides. VW would of paid to have the front and back done.

My Votex VW Factory kit is all colour coded

From what I can figure, VW only started adding the GLI skirts to the later MY08 models. MY09's dont have them AFAIK. The TFSI model always had colour coded bumpers but I guess they just added the GLI skirts as an extra and they don't come painted.
