Very nice car mate...Loving the wheels.

Thats why you go for bolt on mods...Can be changed back to stock in a few hours if you keep all of the stock stuff, and it helps when you can do it yourself.

Why do you think for example an original XW or XY GTHO Falcon can bring the price it does, keeping them genuine will usually get you a much better resale price when it comes time to sell Tasteful mods are good but unfortunately some people do go overboard

Which is why I have all the stock parts for my car sitting in the garage. The only thing I'd have to buy to put it back to stock is some new bolts for suspension and the like and a new splash guard.

.:Rs in three doors for the win by the way.

          Cheers,

Wise move, because depending on how long you keep the car for it could become difficult to get replacements for the original parts as well, especially if they need to be a certain colour (ie: interior trim)

Hi Mate, congrats on your new purchase. So glad that all the REVS check came back OK. I am sooooooo jealous. Really like the Pearlescent Blue with Cream Leather and Woodgrain inserts. Looks very classy. I think a darker tint on the windows might set off the car a bit better..... Hopefully I will be able to acquire mine within the next month or so.... See what the market has to offer right now for a good deal. Cheers.

Thats mate. On the rims/wheels front would you believe that only on the 2nd day of ownership my dad, when reparking the car managed to scuff one of the rims.

His excuse to that was it was bound to happen eventually

Yeah i wasn't going to let the dealer in any way stuff me around and i had obtained legal advice from various members at work, who are solicitors so i was going to be prepared for whatever could happen and gain representation.

I've seen most people on the fence about the whole interior but im of the impression it certainly looks alot better in person. I was set on acquiring a GTI/R32 with a beige interior so fulfilled that goal. Don't know how i really feel about the inserts though, but i can live with it. Yeah i may acquire a darker tint, down the track when i've saved up a substantial amount.

I understand you've driven the R32 already and GTI as well. I think if your persistent enough you might score yourself a good buy especially if you give yourself a solid few months to look. Last thing you want is buyers remorse. But all and all whichever path/vehicle you take im sure youll be happy, the tech in these cars alone will keep me busy for time to come.

Priced accordingly, a car with a decent amount of mods, do however attract alot of attention. I recalled a dealership was offering a GTI which had $10K of mods, APR tuning, exhaust, etc, and managed to sell it within one day of the internet listing.

Came to the dealership and the salesmen showed me what must have been 50pages of enquiries, and this was only 1 or 2hrs of the listing being added.

But i agree on the tasteful mods front, cars are a personal thing and not everyone is going to agree that a big fat spoiler or curb feelers on a mirage is going to help its overall asthetics.

loving my R every day of ownership!

You should do the flapper mod (search or google it!)

Tint isnt expensive - got mine done last week for $270 - lifetime warranty

(darkest legal on sides and darker on rear window!)

Only other mod ive done is bee sting antenna - think thats all ill be doing, other then smiling when in tunnels hahaha!

Very nice. I believe the woodgrain goes with the beige interior option.

Yeah i'm pretty happy with it despite it's slightly high km reading.

Another dealer tried to offer me an Dark Grey R32 for $1 grand cheaper with upto 87000kms, no sunroof, nav.

So i think i made the right decision in this respect.

and thats no where near high kms for a VW V6.... those things will easily clock up over 200k without too many problems

Yeah pretty stoked about it actually, got all the options at the expense of the previous seller. Probably about the only disappointing thing i discovered was the NAV is the older MDF2 revision, which is why it wouldnt play my dvds

I was half expecting to have the RNS510, included. Wishful thinking
