Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf GT TSI - swedish car test vs GTI and R32

    Some translated text.

It sounds almost like a joke. 1.4 liter 170 horsepower - as when we tested gave 190 hp! Efficient when running easy, fast but not so stingy when it Gas. Good compromise. NOTE: My iphone also showed 193hp on dynolicious on my fastest run.

    GT
    Accelration 0-100 km / h
    7.5 s
    Top speed (factory data)
    220 km / h
    Fuel consumption
    0.91 l / mil

    R32
    Accelration 0-100 km / h
    6.5 s
    Top speed (factory data)
    250 km / h
    Fuel consumption
    1.21 l / mil

    GTI
    Accelration 0-100 km / h
    7.0 s
    Top speed (factory data)
    235 km / h
    Fuel consumption
    0.95 l / mil
*Disclaimer - Don't rely on me, seek your own professional advice. Audi R8 E-tron. 230kw 4500nm! (not a typo).

Jayzus, Polar - don't let Mav hear you saying stuff like that - we'll never hear the end of it...

      Not ANOTHER dyno debate thread.....

Back it out, line em up, best of three. Give a damn about the figures.

You've probably seen it, but anyway this is a four way test comparison from Germany (V6 vs turbo vs TSI vs TDI). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMuhjS0f4T8 My German is poor, but I think the GTI wins.

        Note the colour-coded silver TSI...
