Drain oil or top up?

After reading all these posts about engine oil, i decided to check mine. To my surprise the oil was only at a quarter, though the oil still seemed pretty good since my last service was roughly 3-4000km back.

So what are the suggestions, a)top up or b)drain and refill?

Top up. Change it at 7,500km if you drive short trips (the driving under severe conditions). I don't drive more than 10,000km on any oil in any car.

c) top up AND check more frequently
