I just did my interior lights too using the same 1W LEDs that greg used.

Had to doctor the footwell lights so that the light from the LED pointed down into the footwell so i cut the original globe holder off leaving just the terminals in place, trimmed the plastig lug off the back of the LED and then soldered it onto the holder.

Great result but now ive noticed that the footwell lights dont actually stay on for long so ill have to search through VCDS to see if there is a setting there to fiddle with.

Yeah I kinda noticed the footwell lights don't stay on for long, but I just plugged them in sideways as they are stock, and it seems bright enough for me. Perhaps you were after something a bit more F&F Leigh?

I have tried to take pics of them, but it just doesn't work, my camera just can't handle the contrast properly. Basically looks very faint!

Had a good look in VCDS and cant find any setting to adjust the on time or set them to perm on.
