  • VW Consumables & Servicing in Melb

If I wanted to buy some OEM VW Consumables, i.e. oil filters, pollen filters, air filters, timing belt kits, wiperblades etc. where can I find them, either shop in Melbourne or online.

I'll do an oil change between services.

Speaking of oil, Castrol Sport Edge 5W30 ok for the GTI? I bought 5 bottles of the stuff on sale for $30 for our BMW, seems to be approved by VW, but does it suit the car well? I've also use Mobil 2000x2 10w40 with good success on my Astra Turbo.

Also, can anyone recommend some good independent Audi specialist workshop in Melbourne. Still need them to do the service.

After seeing what VW charged for a 30k service, I don't think my GTI will be back to a VW dealer. $703 for what is a basic service including wiper blades.

$33 of the $703 was charged for oil disposal and workshop misc. $33!!

VW servicing makes BMW servicing a bargain.
