      i have just weight the rims with tire. around 20.5kg. is this normal or heavy.

        I cant help thinking that peeps who want to get lighter rims all the time are just blowing sparkle dust.
        Ive had many differing rims on previous vehicles of varying weights and configurations. Ive personally never seen any benefits on the road with lighter rims.

          IIRC there are supposed to be two advantages of lighter wheels/tyres :

          (A) Better operation of suspension as there is less weight to follow the road surface (and less weight is easier to control).

          (B) Quicker acceleration (and deceleration) as it requires less power to spin a lighter wheel/tyre than a heavier one. Road cyclists certainly support this theory. Just having less weight does improve acceleration anyway, but fast rotating weight is supposed to be even more significant ( I think I've read that having a tyre that is 1 kg lighter is like removing 7kg from somewhere else in the car).
