The web site says it is a 'Volkswagen' ECU upgrade. This is more than just an S3 in GTI clothing...

Max. output, kW(bhp) 183 / 246
Max. torque, Nm 382
So much for the DSG's so called torque input limitations.
Acceleration, in seconds from 0-100 kph
with automatic gearbox 5.6
Not bad at all......where do I get one?
Cheers

When i was studying at Uni, I was mates with a few guys over from Singapore and they were all driving brand new Mercedes and BMWs. Not base model ones either, but E-class and 5 series etc and one had a GL500!
I was like wtf how the hell you guys afford these. All of them said their parents gave them money to buy it here so they can ship it back home once they finished their courses!
Personal imports FTW LOL

I spent 3-4 weeks in Singapore over the Christmas period and dropped into a few car places while there - including VW. A GTI in Singapore started at around $105k (Aussie Dollars) with no options. They also had GTI's in the show room that were being sold brand new with an aftermarket bodykit (I can't recall which one).
The cheapest new car in Singapore would be around say $50k for a Hyundai or the like.2007 GTI (MY0- 5dr, Silver, DSG, Leather, Sat Nav, Euro plates

Come to think of it, why would you bother chipping a car there? There are no open roads like here, would be flat out getting over 90Ks wherever you go on the island and can travel the length of the island in less than 40 minutes!
Cheers
