  • wobbly rear view mirror - Help

whilst trying to prop a sund shade up with the edge of the rear view mirror, I have managed to pop the outer casing from the sticky mounting plate.

And it refuses to pop back on. I have tried with some force but don't want to over do it of fear of cracking the windscreen.

Has this happend to anyone else, and if so, how did you fix it.

At teh moment its as floppy as donkeys danglies.

Without actually looking at it to see how it has come apart, I really wouldn't know. I suggest you drop into the dealer and see if they can put it right for you, unless there is someone from the Forums who lives nearby you and can help to refit it for you.

      All sorted,

      got the answer from uk-mkivs.

For info if this happens to anyone else:

the outer casing is split in two halves. once this is removed the internal body slides onto the mounting bracket from the bottom up. The two outer casing halves can then be clipped back on.
