Last week i got a fully optioned Jetta TDI from Gold Coast VW. Not bad, but I hated hated hated the DSG, it frustrated the out of me. Apparently it's set up differently to the GTI's and R32's.

I have a Polo GTI so they may have given me that at an attempt to upsell. But you having a Golf GTI, I wouldn't imagine they'd be throwing you the keys to an R36 or Passat CC. Maybe you'll get a Tiguan or Jetta or something

Also, I dropped my car off at 7:45m and there were two more Jetta's, a Polo and a Beetle there.

This little beauty awaits you. Complete with the foulest smell possible when you start up the AC for around 20 minutes, hopefully for your sake they have fixed that problem.

          1.9l, diesel and manual!

The car is assigned to you when you make the booking, getting in earlier doesn't get you a better car.

I had a TDI, dsg with leather and 2000kms on it the other day, had satnav too, which was very handy as I had a site visit and left my brisway in the Jetta. Wasnt a fan of the tdi, but was a hell of a lot better than walking to work.

And if you book in ahead asking for a courtesy car, they are somewhat obliged to give it to you. I mean it doesnt cost you anything extra, and at $300 for whats basically an oil change you should put in the effort to get one. So you are inconveniced as little as possible.

I have been given a Golf GT and a top of the line Passat the two times I have had warrantee work done!!!
While I waited for delivery of my GTI I used to take the dealers GTI home on weekends occasionaly.
I put it in a show once!!! Always took it back cleaner than when I got it.

I hope I get something interesting when I take my car in... Generally i'm happy i'll have anything that moves but a Beetle or Eos wouldn't get rejected

Is that your number plate? I wanted that when i ordered my jetta a year ago, was playing with heaps of combinations.

Ended up with the exact same plate design but OJE774, closest i could get.

Love it though (and sorry for hijacking thread)

You guys don't know how lucky you are At my dealership (80 k's away) you have to pay nearly $80 to get a loaner to use, that's on top of the service charge They don't give anything away for free I should be charging them for the privilege of driving the GT around the block

So please don't complain about what sort of a loan car you will be given, just consider yourselves fortunate you don't have to walk everywhere !

By the way I would take it elsewhere for servicing but the next closest dealer is about a 320 k return trip so I don't have a lot of choice.

Ha nah it's not my plate combo.. I do have personalized plates in that style but not that combo.. Only downside is that those style euro plates don't look that good on the front..
