    hi all,
what's the difference between the 1.9 TDi and the 2.0 TDi apart from 100cc?

    Looking at one in DSG

Should i get comfort line? sport line? trend line? phone line?

    thanks

Main difference is in the performance. The 1.9 TDI has 2 valves per cylinder and is much slower than 2.0 TDI, which has 4 valves per cylinder. 1.9 TDI has better fuel economy than 2.0 TDI. The transmission and the suspension is the same on both. You have to take each for test drive and see if 1.9 TDI is fast enough for you. There is also difference in the price.

I think there's not much difference in fuel economy. You have to push the 1.9 harder than a 2L.

i've got a 2.0 TDI and drop a 1.9 TDI when mine was in for a service.... decent enough car - but no where near as much torque compared to what i'm normally used to...... i say the 2ltr TDI is much better value for money

I have a 2.0 dsg comfortline & my inlaws have a 1.9 dsg, The 1.9 is a great car but just when it feels like it is about to get going it goes for the next gear compared to the 2.0 that just keeps pulling.

About 0.3L/100km as advertised. In real driving conditions who knows.

2.0 may be 100cc more but it's way ahead as these guys already said!

For me to go from the Edition (1.9) to the Pacific (2.0) was another $4500. I had run out of money .

Having said that, we are more than happy with the 1.9L.

Let me put another twist on this senario, I'd rather have a new Edition than a used Pacific.

One really big advantage with the 1.9 is the US website TDIclub is 90% about this engine, and there is a veritable ton of info there. They have only just started getting the 103, and the 125 is still not there yet.
