  • Can RCD310 be installed in Golf V pacific?

Any one went to dealer to ask the ipod compatibility with new Golf VI's RCD310 with the Media Device Interface (new ipod and usb adapter??)?
Does it show song titles on the head unit? Does it charge the iPhone 3G(iTouch 2G)?
I currently have a Golf pacific, if the new RCD310 is iPod-friendly, I'm considering to change to RCD310+Media In, is it possible??

Seems the RCD510 is iPod-friendly, but it's not worth to get it just for the iPod.

Since you have a Pacific, like I do, your current head unit can play MP3 music burned to CD. It also displays the song titles if you play CDs with MP3 tracks.

The RCD310 is definately Ipod-friendly, but as you said, you'll need the Media-In interface. As for charging, it will only charge at a rate of 5V. You'll need to look that up in your Ipod/Iphone/Itouch manual.

It will display track info, and further more to that, the Media-In unit, will allow your car to completely control the Ipod.

I'm not 100% sure of what's involved in retro-fitting an RCD310 into a Golf % Pacific. I doubt there'd but much involved at all.
