Attention all .:R32 owners - PLEASE HELP!!

Hi guys,

To those with .:R32s, i'm hoping you can help me out here.

I took my car into the dealers to investigate my fuel pump noise/issue yesterday. The thing started wailing like a banshee since the heat wave and on cooler days makes a slight whirring noise - loud enough to hear over the exhaust.

Yesterday, dealers said the noise came from the fuel filter and the pressure regulator and they replaced it. I specifically asked them if the pump was alright and they said yes. They said the noise was gone when they changed the filter, but this morning the noise was still there, and easily heard over my exhaust and engine whilsts sitting at the lights.

So my question to you guys is, do your cars make any whirring pump noises from the back that is easily hearable?? I don't know what normal is anymore!!

No noise that I have noticed from my car, and from what you describe I would have noticed.

1. Let's be specific, you can hear it coming from the rear of the car, while the car is running, while your sitting in the drivers seat ?
   
2. I rarely have the windows down, is your window open or closed ?

I can hear it with the car running, sitting in my drivers seat with windows closed. I have done the flapper mod, and i can hear this noise over the exhaust!

Also, standing from outside the car, can hear it coming from the back right wheel arch, or if i poke my head into the back seat, it comes from under the seat at the back drivers side.

I pay more attention tonight when I drive home, and update you later.

If you can still hear it then I'd be going back to the dealer.

I sent the recording to my dealer and new pump has been ordered!! hopefully this will fix everything!!
