Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

[QUOTE=eestison]i have a VAG-COM cable, i will be moving down to Brisbane (from Mackay) next week...

Mate, are you moving to Brissie to live? Hopefully I can get some golf owners together to go for a good drive and great lunch somewhere in south east Queensland.

Once you're settled in you should take a drive up to Toowoomba (about 1.5 hours) on the edge of the Great Dividing Range. There's some lovely scenery/roads about here. Also some great spots for food/lunch.

Wow, QLD seems to have some good places to have a drive. I'll be up in Northern Rivers NSW next week (yes, taking the Jetta from Melbourne, stopping Canberra, Newcastle and Coffs along the way) and will certainly make some time to explore up north.

                    South East Qld Drive Day

I've got a good mate who's done/planned some great drives for the MR2 club about south Qld. I'll have a chat to him and get some ideas. We'll make it a mix of smooth straight touring as well as a bit of the bendy stuff through some of the mountain ranges.
Will get back to the group with some ideas. I think we have 3 in so far? The more the merrier.

Thats good to hear. Should start a new thread in the "Clubs, meets and events " section as we have already hijacked this one enough.

Hey Shaneth. Get the dealer to lend you a VW for that weekend. I had the demo GTI on a few weekends during my wait. It was black DSG, leather and Zenons. I made sure it went back cleaner than when I got it, thats all

Make sure you look at the Putty road from Sydney (more presice Windsor) to Singelton in the Hunter Valley. You'll have a blast on it!! Also the old pacific highway from sydney to Gosford is good too Very nice pie shop near Brooklyn on the way as well
