  • radiator fan died

One of my radiator fans died last week, and just two weeks after the warranty expired, and I'm not even up to 50000Km yet.. Now the other one runs on full speed all the time.

Does anyone have any advice on how to argue to get it fixed under warranty? I'm not yet sure if I have to pay for it yet. I hear the whole set of fans needs to be replaced, as they're one unit, and they aren't cheap..

If it's got full dealer (not ultra tune, midas or any so called "log book" service place) service history, I can't see why there would be a problem with getting it under warranty.

Austral have a less then stellar customer service attitude and will screw every customer for as much as they can. The full service history will work in your favour and you shouldn't have any problems (with VW anyway). Call VW if required but leave it with Austral at first as they may have to ring VW for approval and you don't want to get them offside.
