Parcel Shelf Net

Anyone have one of these. Pic is from DOVW Melb on a GTI. Trying to get one from the Dealer, but he's never seen one. A part number would solve the problem.

My Dad's MY07 GTI has one. He keeps a spray jacket and a blanket in it I think. Just came with it not an option or anything he specified. Thought it would be something all MkVs would have?

Only the GTI and R32 have the net installed. It's not available as an option but you can fit it using this kit.

ETKA has it listed as luggage compartment cover with/without net. So methinks youre right.

I have to say it is a really handy thing to have though! I put my camera tripod in there when its in the car. Holds it nice and still.

Yes, it's completely different, but will still do a similar job (hopefully). I worked out the price to be about $160 with postage!

I can get one a bit cheaper, but I don't think it's worth the money at the minute.

Let's say the version from OEMPlus is about half price, if you are on good terms with your Dealer.

For some cardboard with carpet on it plus some normal cord and elasticised cord that's absolutely disgraceful!

And it's that difficult to order one from Germany and have it shipped over with another allotment of parts?
I would expect that VWA are making something in the order of at least 60% profit on this item if not more. Greed is good is guess?
