Can any recommend a non VW service centre in Brisbane?

I have just called the 2 dealerships in Brisbane and the earliest I can get in for service is the 18th (HWY no loan car available) or the 23rd (Newstead).

I'm sitting at 14,750ks at the moment and was considering getting it done at a non-VW centre to get it done sooner.

Any good or bad experiences in Brisbane with non-VW servicing?

Why the rush? A few kilometres over is going to make no difference!

There is the Ipswich dealer as well and of course Gold and Sunshine coast but I'd wait the few days and get it done at Highway, not only are they a lot cheaper then Austral but they're also a decent company to deal with unlike Austral.

Jimmy ('Jmac' on this forum) is apparently the reputable non VW-centre servicer up in Brissy. I don't have contact details for him but i'm sure someone will chime in with them....maybe even himself!

Austral is just around the corner from work so it's convenient but I would prefer HWY it's just a bit out of the way.

No rush really but I'll probably be 750 or so ks over the 15,000 by next Thursday and didn't want to get into any warranty hassles should they arise.

Update: Just booked in with Mike Weber Prestige and Performance and approx price for R32 15,000 service is $250. Rang Austral back to cancel service (luckily) - $395!

I take my car there for all interim services and mod related stuff. Great service and price. May even do the scheduled services there - saves going to the dealers which aren't very convenient to me and you wont get the younger monkeys fanging your car.

He has heaps of experience with VW, and a great guy to chat with.

If you just want it fixed properly without all the fuss. No loaner, no cleaning, no shuttle bus == a LOT cheaper then the stealers.
