Does the TFSI Jetta have launch control?

I asked this question in another thread without response. I know mine doesn't but it's an MY06....can it be enabled by vagcom or only by the dealer or even at all?

be interested to know if anyone has had it enabled?

My old man's 05 TFSI has launch. Don't ask me how I know
(Shift to 'S', turn off esp, left foot on brake, right foot dial up revs, then lift off brake...)

The dealer may be able to flash the controller but it's unlikely that they will. There was a TSB out in the US where 06 customers could get their controller flashed to add in launch control but I think it only mentioned the GTI, both the Jetta and GTI had it standard from 07 in the states. I think nearly all the GTI's in Australia have it enabled (some early ones I believe didn't).

Depends on the part number of the controller as well.

I recently discovered the LC on my 06 TFSI the other night, just follow Mr Messy's intructions and you'll be laughing at every traffic light...Just dont over do it...
