As far as I knew, Pacific brakes can't be the same as GTI brakes because GT Sport brakes aren't the same as Pacific, and GT Sport are just a different colour to GTI.Originally posted by CatonaPC© View PostI believe the brakes on the Pacific are the same as the GTI. As bugayev pointed out the GT Sport has the GTI brakes but not powder coated red. The Pacific and so on all have the same size I believe and all get the same size as the 1.6l edition.Originally posted by CatonaPC© View PostI believe the brakes on the Pacific are the same as the GTI. Just had my 45k service done, and upon service dealer has advised me that my front brakes have 80% left and rear 70%?
Can someone with a little bit more insight explain how is this possible?
I always thought that front brakes brake twice as hard as rear but we new technology that can be the thing of the past......GOLF V 2.0 TDI COMFORTLINE

The golf applies the rear brakes first to minimise the nose diving under hard braking, the materials on the bad are also slightly different.Originally posted by acdcfan View PostJust had my 45k service done, and upon service dealer has advised me that my front brakes have 80% left and rear 70%?

Eh . .? Sorry Mav, I don't follow. The Pacific has the same size as the GT? The front disks are quite large on the Pacific.Originally posted by Maverick View PostAs bugayev pointed out the GT Sport has the GTI brakes but not powder coated red.
