It's booked in next week for the tune. Brakes and exhaust coming from the states in around 6 weeks.

We should organise a day out at the AHG driving centre, that's where I'm going to be taking it.
Quattros are close to me too (I'm in Kensington), so I plan on visiting them soon for a few things.

As for AHG - stick your nose in this thread - http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=25297

Would be great to see a tuned Pirelli in action
With the APR exhaust - does that take you to APR stage 2?

Yes, Apparently the Pirelli has the K04 (?) turbo, larger intercooler and other go fast bits that are sold in the package that makes up the stage 2. That's why the APR tune gives such monster gains (240kw for $1995, bargain).

Alongside the tune I'm getting the exhaust and the 355mm brembo package. The brembos are a bit touch and go, as they may not fit (They're also being measured up when the tune goes in). If the 355's are too big, I'll just get the 'smaller' 328's.

Then she'll be ready for a few good track days!

One bad thing about the yellow... After an hour of driving it fairly hard through the twisties, the whole back quarter, and some of the tail gate were covered in brake dust..... oops.

Make sure you get the APR fuel pump installed too mate. As i'm sure your aware, the Pirelli has the same fuel pump as the regular GTI, and is running at about 90%+ of its flow capacity, the car will lean out heavily with the APR flash and no new fuel pump.

with the APR flash, Fuel pump, turbo back exhaust and drop in filter you shall have nearly 350 hp at the motor.

Kryten, like I said in the other post, I don't think you'll have any probs with Quattros. Might be dropping in there next week so I'll try and have a peek out the back for yours! I'm in Como, hope to see you around the area! We should organise a South Perth get together

Do you have to run it in before getting the chip or is it pretty much good to go? You'll have to do a few freeway runs otherwise pretty quickly!

Sounds like there's a few of us around these necks of the woods!

No I'm going straight in for the tune, it'll probably only have 2-300ks on the clock at most by then (179ks at the moment). I'll try and put some more ks on the clock before I open the taps too much though. I've already redlined it a few times, I just can't help myself. It's such a rush.

Fingers crossed it all goes well.. Tomorrow is going to be spent with a bit of driving, then some serious meguairs waxing.
