  • Has your car been misfiring / been stuttering in idle lately?

My car started stuttering in idle about a month ago. I had it in for normal 45K service a week ago and they couldn't find anything.

Am wondering if we've had a batch of bad petrol lately here in the Brisbane area? Has your car been behaving badly lately? I always fill 98RON.

If there has been a bad batch of petrol in Bris ... I've been lucky enough to avoid it.

Don't forget the servos have all been running low then turning off the pumps when they keep running out of petrol, all the caltex and bp outlets have run out multiple times each week. Wouldn't surprise me if they are spending less time checking batches in order to get the fuel out to the service stations.

Why don't you hook the slasher up to your tractor and mow the lawn in style?

Good to meet you today Tor, and yeah your problem sure sounds "strange".
Guys, the poor lad has one of those pesky intermittent problems, but he mentioned it only happens at traffic lights, especially if the air con is on, NOT when it starts up cold. Kinda sounds like a spark plug lead getting hot and dropping resistance or something?? It has a load / heat aspect for sure.

Anyway Tor here's a link to the man up here in Brisbane Jmac. Worth a call.

I've seen those, but I have a hard time imagining my problem is that serious.

Do you know a how to guide on how to check the cam follower?
