The Pacific had 15k service yesterday and got a Jetta 2 liter petrol for a loan [$45] When putting the gears into reverse a bip is made is this a common thing for Jetta's.

Yes, it indicates the reverse sensors are engaged.

I got a Touareg 3.0 TDI as a loan car 2 weeks ago... a smooth beast of a car!! I couldn't even hear the diesel rattles when standing next to the bonnet.

But at the end of the day I was glad to have my zippy Jetta back
