Thanks again for all the replies. I think I'm gonna go ahead and take a chance on this car. It seems to be pretty good value for money. It drives well and seems to not have any problems. I'm tempted to just buy it and not worry about extended warranty or having the car checked since the mieage is so low. Do you think it's wise?

That decision is entirely up to you but even vehicles with low k's can still have issues so for your own peace of mind it still might pay you to look into the VW extended used car warranty plan. I know most used car warranties aren't worth the paper their printed on but in this case and with such low k's on the vehicle I can't see you having too much trouble should you need to make a claim. Be sure and post up some pics if you buy it and best of luck with the purchase.

      Cheers

Thanks Russ. I will ask the local dealer here how much it costs to have the extended used car warranty plan. Cheers. Daniel

This Golf seems like a great buy.
I would invest in an extended VW warranty for your own peace of mind.
I have been quoted 1800 dollars for 3 years on my Jetta.
