Im about to order one and was unsure of it in 5 doors as the dealer did not have one in the yellow to show me.
I love the color in the 3 door as i think you can get away with it, but i'm wondering perhaps if its too much in the 5 door and going for another color.
It is after all a "special edition" and the sunflower yellow shows that nicely, what do some of you think ?
    Hi Edra -

I ordered mine on the 4th of November (still waiting for it), and was told (at the time) that it was the very last one available. You might want to double check, as you may not be able to get one.

Others have said go white or silver, but from what I understand, the Pirelli only comes in 3 colours - Yellow, Black and that darkish blue. Personally I love the exclusivity of the yellow, only available on the pirelli, remember! No doubt that it's a special edition for collectors later.

    Cheers.

No, lo beam only HIDs from the factory (despite what some of the Skoda sales gumph tried to claim).

About the only real disappointment I have with what is otherwise a great wagon. I suppose I could always add aftermarket hi beam HIDS. I already have the factory lo beam HIDS with headlight washers and auto beam levelling, so no real legality issues (but I can't see what the problem is with hi beam only HIDS anyway, it can't be glare, as you are supposed to dip as soon as you see someone coming the other way)

Yellow will definitely make you stand out. If you are buying a Pirelli anyway, I reckon a part of you wants to stand out so yellow is perfect.

I probably wouldn't buy the yellow version, I would go for that metallic blue. What the others have said is also right, it is a special edition, and the yellow paintwork will make it a definitive special edition colour (not too sure I could stand a yellow car myself though).

              Thankyou all for your responses.
I could'nt get Bi Xenons in a yellow 5 door, so i have ordered a reflex silver 5 door, with bi xenon, sat nav, parking sensors.
part of me really wants the yellow 5 door but i couldnt get over not having xenon now for some reason.
plus the mrs was unsure, the reflex silver seems a sure bet even though it is a touch neutral, the 3 door reflex silver pirelli i saw really had that porsche aura about it.

I'm interested, were there any 5 door yellows at all?

I ordered bi-xenon's, rear parking sensors and the Sat Nav for my yellow pirelli, and was told it was the very last one, anywhere.. And that was back in November.

I'd be very interested if anybody else managed to get one after this date. Official numbers of yellow 5 doors is particularly low, I'm told.

No offence to any VW owners with the dark blue, but I really don't like blue cars.... Funny they didn't make the pirelli available in White... White golfs look the part.

Along with red, yellow is the fastest fading colour, so if you leave it outdie for a period of time each day......I'd chose another colour.

But the yellow does look nice.

nice nice. I would have chosen the silver after the yellow too.

Does anybody know for sure that all the pirelli's were made in Germany? I know the regular 3 door GTIs were, with the 5 doors coming out of South Africa.. The salesdood who sold me the car told me all pirellis were coming out of Germany though...

If so, what's the deal? Were 5 doors made in both locations, but we only ever got the South African ones, or did they retool in Germany just for the pirelli?

Considering the pirelli edition is a mash up of parts from the Audi S3 bin, it would not surprise me if all 3222 Pirelli Editions made world wide were made in germany.
