  • How much did you pay for 1.4 Jetta 118 TSI?

    Hello everyone!

I am new to this community.

Is any one lucky enough to get the new 1.4 Jetta 118 TSI?

How much did you pay for it? What were the options?

The manual is the same as the outgoing 2.0 FSI model,at 32990 plus on roads.
The DSG is now a 7 speed unit, and will start at 35490.
      Metallic paint is 690.
A great price, should sell very well.
      Other options will be leather,sunroof.
Looks identical to the 2.O FSI and TDI.

        Hi,
I am looking to buy the same Jetta 118TSI in next 2 weeks or so. If you are in Sydney then maybe we can buy together and get a better price. One of my colleagues is also buying a Golf.

        Let me know

Just got my Jetta this week. Paid a bit over $36000 for DSG, 1.4L model with metallic paint and tinted window. No other options.

The insurance is a killer though. Nearly $900 from RACV for rate 1.

I am paying $530 per year with SGIO for my TFSI Jetta. I am in Perth and have 65% no claim bonus discount. I was really surprised with this figure actually when I rang up.

My black beauty 118TSI Jetta came with black metallic paint, 7 spd DSG, full leather heated electric seats and tints..... window card price $40,500 got it for $35,600...... trick is, get the dealer to ring you when it comes off new car lot to a demo and grab it!!! only had 40km on the clock, that took $1k off it then fleet discount got a further $4k off it!!

Fleet discounts are usually available if you work in a company who operates a large fleet of vehicles (doesnt have to be VW). Just ask your dealer if your company qualifies.

Have a look at car sales also. There are heaps of MY08 Jettas and some have options like Leather with large discounts. Some are demos with about 7000kms on the clock.

Novate leasing is the trick dude!! Your employer has got to agree to it though.

The fleet doesn't have to be that big either.
Check with the dealer - they have a list of companies that qualify. If you're on the list you'll need a letter from your company and proof of employment.

There's alot to understand if you are new to the game of Novate leasing.... there are different types of leasing also so it's probably easier to point you to a website that should answer your questions...... basically I pay a monthly fee that includes all my fuel, running costs including insurance. Mate there are benefits if you do reasonable km / year and it's all pre tax!! but there are catches too......
Here's a calculator for you to check out......
